locktite - proto on/off

would it be advisable to put some locktite around the blanking screw, and macroline elbow, on my new proto on/off airport? my dye on/off leaked, before i put some on, does anyone know if the proto's leak?

Wrap it in PTFE tape.

Blech, PTFE tape is a pain. Fair enough, when used neatly and correctly it is great, but if it's not done just right then bits of it can come off inside and get wedged in regs, solenoid etc.

As a rule, apply some sealant to any gas fitting or it will leak. My preference is Loctite 638, but 243 ("Lock'n'seal") is what more sane people use.
