Hi,

My name is Ollie, I'm 16 and want/am starting to play paintball seriously. I'm currently working as a marshall at Campaign paintball in Efiingham. My job is what has got me into it, and I'm now I'm hooked :)

I was just wondering what the first step for someone like me (who has never properly played speedball or X ball) is?
I've got my own goggles and clothes, but no marker yet.

Any answers would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Ollie

If you work at Campaign, then talk to the some of the other marshals there, especially Tony. Unless I'm mistaken, Tony is in a team and he plays / has previously played at Semi-Pro level so he would be a good go to guy for information.

Failing that, if you are around for Campaign's next walk on day, the may be a number of guys around who can help (especially if the Team GBH guys turn up)

Check out the classifieds, good and cheap markers going there.

An old Ego or an Etek is cheap and reliable and well worth the money that they go for.

Is Bricket Wood easy to get to from where you live? If so rock down on a Saturday/Sunday and you'll be able to leap on with a team. Just about every team will be happy for you to join in and show you the ropes.
