Hi guys,

I may be coming back to the sport after a long break but now realise the new limits on ROF that have come into place. I have an 05 Angel Speed, Alias Timmy and SP Ion which all have ramping (to 15bps) which was the "thing" back in 2005. I would like to be able to limit them (the Ion is most important) to the new 10.5 limit but all three have stock boards.

I know the Timmy can be flashed and probably will once I get hold of Rabies. As for the Ion, will it really require an after market board to be able to do this?

Thanks

Yes you would have to purchase an after markter board - TBH for the value of the marker it wouldnt be worth it as the board will cost more than the marker in the current market.

I would suggest selling the Ion and the money you would have spent buying the board buying a second hand marker which will do the 10.5 BPS you can pick up something like a mini pretty cheap or an old eclipse marker something like an 07-08 ?

@ Scott - I was thinking along those lines but I am coming back to paintball and wanted to change from my old ways of buying everything I thought was cool. I'm aiming to keep costs at a minimum at the moment.

@ Renie - Thank you so much! I have the manual but I've been searching for the right settings and only ever came across people saying to upgrade the board as they have preset modes etc. I want to limit it as I will be playing at Bricket Wood and was told all markers need to be limited for field play.

you can limit it to 10.5 using the stock board and the settings above :)

About £25 and well worth doing - my alias and dogz both run rabies software and it's adjustable by you to keep up with rule changes.
