lifts to NQ needed - please help

If anyone travels regularly, or even just every so often, to NQ from the bradford/leeds area i would greatly appreciate a lift. Obviously i will contribute fuel monies. I need to get training with somanc again urgently, i joined them before xmas and havn't been able to train because the guy that used to give me lifts quit. So now i could potentially lose a spot on the best team i have ever been part of . So anyone who thinks they could give a guy a hand please pm me.

Not meaning to sound flippant, but being geographically ignorant when it comes the bit on the bottom of Scotland, is there no train/bus service from where you are to where you need to be?

ah, but shouldn't we all think of car sharing where possible to save the planet!

tho failing that a bus/train would seem like an obvious 2nd choice.

Sunday trains are a nightmare ... especially when it comes to getting home in the evening / afternoon.

I used to get the train from Leeds to Manchester airport, it wasnt that bad.
Luke very kindly gave me lifts to and from the station,
you should be able to find someone to grab you from there, its not far.

I plain cant afford £20 train tickets on top of paint and green fee, also as portox said public transport on sundays blows.

very true. public transport is useless on sundays.

and getting more expensive.

a one way ticket from stonehaven (home) to montrose (work) now costs me £7.30, for what equates to a 17min train trip.....£10.60 return

if the government want us off the roads they need to do something that makes "public" transport actually cost less than using the car......the equivalent journey cost me less than £5 a day in diesel......

yeh taking a bus from here to manchester is not really possible, by the time i got there it would be time to go home again, and train tickets are extortionate.

get a train saturday night and stay somewhere.

20 pounds return aint bad, also you can get one of them saver cards so it would really not be too cheap.
