Why would the olympic comittee look at something thats not a sport . .

Getting it recognised nationally as a sport should be the first step. Then when things are in place, take it to the IOC. Getting it recognised is a whole other ballgame . .

Its not hating, its a reality.

The problem with petitions is they can make people think they are achieving something and getting their point accross, or venting their frustrations. But are easily ignored

They are very popular with politicians as it give the impression that they are listening

First problem is the IOC state that to be considere for the Olympics it must have a RECOGNISED INTERNATIONAL GOVERNING BODY.

Paintball doesn't.

Firstly it needs recognition as a sport at a local/national level. Jut because we meet the criteria for a sport (competitive play requiring elements of skill progression and physicality) does not automatically mean that that is the case. There are a great many hoops to jump through too and the governing body is the biggy.

Paintball internationally, hell even nationally, is too fragmented for a whole variety of reasons (let's be honest and put money at the top of that list...) for us to come together with a single governing body at any point in the near future.

Until then there is absolutely no point in trying to take PB to the IOC
