Let's ban talkin' about pro players.

Why you ask? 'Cause until a few weeks ago pro players was a complete fiction! A semantic crock of cow patties (and you know I know about cow patties ) A self-proclaimed status as meaningless as "sandbagger." Yet seems like y'all got nothing to talk about half the time unless it pro this and pro that. Yawn.
Looks like there will soon be real pro players but until then let's give it a rest.
I mean, Robo, despite his reflexive defense of "pro" players already put the lie to the notion with formation of the England X-ball team. if the "pros" were really the best players bar none how come Nexus is well stocked with non-pros, umm? Are they really just as good as any other group of Brit players and potentially better or is it just hype?

There are some players that are paid to play events. Therefor they are not all self proclaimed. Not sure they make their living solely by playing, but they get paid for it.

ok if you need a position taken im against banning talking about pro players as with all myths the main purpose is amusement and if it doesnt hurt anyone to talk about the mythical pro paintballers then theres no reason to stop .

Baca, trying to stop p8ntballers from talking about these "pro" players is like trying to stop football (soccer) fans talking about their pro players. Or like trying to stop women from talking about celebrities. It just aint gonna happen dude. In every part of society you will have people talking about those who are higher up in the hierarchy, whether it be us, footy fans or women. We even do it in our jobs, much fun has been had whilst taking the piss out of the boss' wig, or about how little work the manager does etc. We will always talk about those people at the top.

Pro's...

I believe people talk about them because it is the only thing everyone can talk about (besides markers)...
- actually I don't want to hear all that personal stuff about people I don't know (Who cares someone named Salm is mental - I just want to know what happened at WC and nothing more...), but I dont complain as I can just skip over...
Afterall this chit-chat seems to be very popular (mostly among americans? Creators of talkshows like "I wouldn't sleep with you before marriage, but instead slept with all your family, friends, your pets and still doesn't want to sleep with you..."??)

BTW Didn't mean any harm to anyone...
