Hi guys,

Bought a Smart Parts On/Off to go on my Ion from these forums which arrived today. I just fitted it and it seems to be leaking from where the hose joins to the elbow by the regulator (see pic below for arrow). The On/Off works fine because the leak wasn't apparent until I'd turned it on when the tank was screwed in. The hose wasn't disconnected from that point, only the end connected to the ASA, so I don't see why its leaking. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks very much in advance,

So its leaking where the macro goes into the elbow, have you made sure its pushed in fully, or that there isnt any dirt in the macroline fitting? If not check to make sure the end of the hose isnt badly chewed up or scratched, and the end of it is flat, or try a slightly longer peice of hosing
Hope that helps

Pull the hose out, blow into the fitting and wipe any dirt off the macro line with a tissue, then reinstall it and gas it up.

Just a follow-up question, the setup now looks the same as in the picture but without loctite (or similiar) is this strong enough? The macroline isn't particularly slack which isn't necessarily a bad thing but is it enough to hold up (i.e. when sliding, on significant impact etc).

Cheers,

Beat me to it ^^ :)

Im not sure i read this correctly but if you mean will the macroline come out mid game, no it wont. The fittings are designed to hold the loctite, try pulling it out ;)
