hiya guys as the title says when i put my ear up to where the 14 way is situated there is a leak.
I know this is gonna either be the ram or the 14 way itself so i have checked all the o rings on the ram and reset the ram stroke.
This says to me that the actuall 14 way is leaking, ive tried to tighten the retainer and it still leaks.
Any info on which seal this may be and how to take the 14 way apart would be apprecitaed

cheers in advance

Hi mate,

Right sounds like either the 14 way is dirty or the gaskets are not seated correctly/damaged.

Undo the site rail cover.
undo the 2 retaining screws.
lift out the solenoid.
The solenoid will screw together IIRC take apart the 3 seperate parts (remember how everything goes). clean all the grease of everything then re-lube lightly with 'love juice'.
Make sure the gaskets are seated correctly and not damaged.
Put it all back together, cross fingers and pray to the Angels gods.

Hope that helps and isn't completely wrong....

Paul

Before you did all that, did you make sure that it wasn't just your gasket manifold? If you put it all back together and it still leaks, that could be it.

oops, I mentioned the gaskets in the first line but then forgot to put them in the step by step list..... DOH!
ah well, cleaning up the solenoid won't do any harm anyway and the gaskets will be checked upon putting it all back together.
