Just by looking at it, is it the same size as the power button at the moment? Maybe just a board upgrade?

Seems a little pointless to me. From what I can see the board has no means of navigation on it so I presume it still requires use of the joystick inside to program it.

Na I'm kidding. It might work on one screen button and the trigger though.

That's very true, will have to wait and see what people think of it before I consider looking into purchasing one though.
