Ok, NooB Angel Owner here. I have an LCD that just seems to not want to work properly!

So any help will be appreciated.

MROF - 14
Dwell - 14 (using an Egg II)
I am using an adjustable pre-set 4500 (??) with what looks to be an Input of approx 800psi.

Problem is that no matter what I do the fecking thing chops balls like it was me Ma's blender.
Also it sounds like a feckin cannon...loud!

Couple of questions:

Can I go lower on the Input Pressure? Would this help?
How do I check the Pressure on the LPR? ( I don't have an tools)

Answers and any suggestions would be of great assistance.

loud and choppy, huh? Is the small oring on the bottom of the breech there?

You should get some tools or have someone fix it for you- there is truth that whole "right tool for the job" adage.

It can't be both it is either preset or adjustable.

You might find that you bolt needs to be adjusted...you need the toolkit, fine nosed pliers will work but can damage the ram.

Are you sure you are chopping, there is a difference between a breech burst, bolt face burst and a chop...a chop often will follow the second one...if it is either of the first two then raise the dwell and your MROF is way too low put it up to 18
get the LPR checked to see that it set correctly I say get it checked as again you need tools and an adjustable air source...way simpler to get it in for a service unless you have a teammate who knows what they are doing and has the tools.

Have you put it over a chrony, if so what is it shooting at. Assuming the speed is close to 300fps, raise the dwell to 16 and turn the minireg screw in about 1/8th of a turn. Raising the dwell will give a softer shot.

If the speed is over 300fps then turn the minireg screw clockwise shooting over the chrony, until it gets to 300fps.

Check the front of the bolt for paint shell stuck in the holes.

Take the barrel off and try to blow a ball down the barrel, if this is very hard to do your barrel bore is too small, and could be the reason you're getting a lot of breaks.

There are a few other things to do to get the lcd sorted, but these are best left to a tech.

Good luck.

Yeah, the care-free ajusting of the three way, LPR, input pressure, velocity adjuster, back block, sear lug... Yeah, bring back the cocker

On my LCD I've got the MROF all the way up, dwell at 15, and I've hardly ever chopped since I bought it. Other than what's already been said (which is all right on) check your ram alignment, your bolt should "click" into place when you close the breach. If you need more help, try running a search at www.angel-owners.com, great angel resource.

couldn't have said it better, and why buy a pump with a cocking mechanism thrown on the front. How cheap!!!

There you go mate, i told you angels were easy. When you adjust the ram correctly the bolt should click when you open the breech. The back of the hammer slot should be lightly pressing on the bolt pin.

Circlip pliers also do the trick, even long nosed pliers.
