If they complain then you have to stop or all sorts of council types can come round and make life a misery, but if they don't care / are out all day then no, it's cool AFAIK. But were one ball to go astray and hit someone walking down a footpath or whatever then you'd be buggered

Excelent :D

The other day, while round my m8s shooting up an old TV and a wall some IDIOT stuck his head up over the wall we were shooting and told us to quiet it down.

Several minutes later of me shouting at him for being an idiot and how he couldov been killed *bearing in mind the target we were shooting was 12 inches away from his head* he apologised and wandered off ;)

as long as its not night time i think its totally ok.

Noise pollution is only classed as "statutory noise nusiance" if its at inappropriate times of the day, is sufficiently loud, often and irritating enough to SIGNIFICANTLY influence someones lifestyle or health.

my neighbour complained about some guy across the fence from him because he would use power tools in his shed at night.

Basically, you will get away with it as long as its not at night time or late evening, because its inside waking hours, its not loud enough to interrupt any important indoor activity and its in the safety of your own property. Its not even that loud!

IF you were to get done for it (which is practically impossble), as long as you make out youre being as considerate to others as possible, they let you off.

you need to be served a warning and an opportunity to argue your case before they can consider charging you, even then, an enviromental health agent needs to gather enough evidence in person before you were to be charged. So, even if you were warned, you have plenty of warning to stop and straighten the matter before you carry on!

I think it's actually more to do with public roads... if you are firing an air weapon within 50 metres (or summat) of a public highway it may be exceedingly illegal ...theres a few threads about this on here do a search.
