Law regarding auto's?

I live in the u.k. and want to get an ESP frame for my trusted spyder (saves me having to by an impy or angel ).
I mailed ledz at eclipse to see if they were going to be stocking them and the answer was no, due to the fact that they fire on auto and burst mode's.
What are the laws governing auto weapons in paintballing in the uk?
from what i can see the frame has an internal slide switch block which i assume is to control the fire mode and if so, being a dab hand at electronics can i order one from the states and modify it to remove the auto modes
does anybody know anything about the laws or has any one got thier hands on frame in question let me know

p.s. if i order it from the states will it get through customs and exercise being what is in terms a automatic weapon part?

I can't find it at the moment but it explains all on the http://www.ukpsf.com/ web site. I brief I believe it talks about how quite bluntly full auto is illegal in the UK. Any paintguns that allow it - or add ons that enable more than one projectile to be fired per trigger pull. Because if it was allowed then they paintguns fall into the same category of some regualar lethal bullet tossing guns. I think that in the states all electro's are restricted to 13bps now, so if you order it from there that will be your max bps no matter what the packaging says me thinks.

You can order one from the states - although it's a big risk. I mailed my spyder from the states and it came through fine, they didn't open it - although nothing illegal in it (ie. not electro). If you do order one from the states, it will probably get through fine if you ask the company you buy it from to label it 'Gift' and/or 'Paintmarker Parts'. I have to warn you again though it's a big risk cos it could get caught.

I don't know about customs over here. Its been real tight... I know cause I tried to get a part to my Accuracy International rifle and it took forever.

electro frame

Do you want the modes , or do you just want an electro trigger??? If you just want the trigger, there are frames with an electro trigger that only fires in semi and maybe one more mode... Kind of like the triggers on the Black Draguns.... So , if you don't want the modes, look around and see if you can find one of those frames( black dragun style ) Good luck,

p.s.--- I've seen and played against a spyder with one of these frames, and let me tell ya, it fires fast and i have welts to prove it!!!! well.... i have enough of em to prove it fires pretty fast!!
