Just got this answer from Karlijn @ Millennium:

You are definitely allowed to tech your own gun within the Players' area,
it's just that out of safety precautions, we don't want the guns to be
teched within areas where inexperienced visitors may walk around. Accidents
do happen and we want to minimalize the chances.

If Bitburg is gonna look the same as yesteryear, does that mean that the players have to cover up their guns when they leave the players area and going to a field? Or are the fields gonna be locked up, with special walkways to protect the players from the horrible masses of desperate fans?

And another thing... When are the Millennium gonna post the "good" news? The really cool stuff we are all waiting for?

:)
