It'll be down to the event organiser whether they're allowed or not but i can't see why you would want to, you can't shoot further than can comfortably see, paintballs aren't ballistic like bullets so you can't zero a sight in and have your shots land where the sight is aimed at, and not to mention you're going to end up pointing it into some ones eyes at some point.

Thanks guys, yes I don't really want a laser in my eyes, but then my knowledge of lasers are very limited. Hence the post. in a dark place a laser would definetly panic me lol, which may add to the game play :)(who knows)
I also think they could be a bit of fun :)

On a safety matter, if its a uk legal commercially available laser then it is safe for people's eyes
The blink reaction will stop it and any responsible player will minimise flashing it in faces - but can't guarantee not to

Outdoor sites will usually allow them, but its up to each site
Most of the time though they don't work as seen on TV, there is no line drawn you only get the dot where it is pointing but the person it's pointed at can clearly see you
In smoky conditions you get the laser line - and everyone on the field can follow the line and see you

For the game that the question was raised the reason they have been refused is because a number of players have already enquired about using night vision and it would affect them
