If teams are winning midland masters divisions does that still make them novice ? and elligable for king of the hill ?

If a team are good enough to win at MM I would have to ask should they actually be allowed to enter KOTH, but I suppose they may still be classed as novice though.

At the end of the day, if a team is a newcomer, and wins, then they are still classed as Newcomers. Imagine if a guy did the TT first time, and won whilst setting a new laprecord, he would still wear a bright orange Jersey for the rest of the meeting.

I notice again that the person who started this topic is a first time poster.... why if you believe you have a valid point do you think you can't say it under your own name....??!!
As they didn't win their division in the Masters, your concern has no grounding. Even so if they win their division in MM4, they have the right to defend their title in KOTH2. I doubt they will wish to enter KOTH3, as they have proved their point already and need the challange of the Masters.

It seems there's a point that needs to be cleared up in regards entering both KOTH and the MM events.
the criteria for KOTH is that the team is a novice clasified team but you also have to remember that the bottom one or two divisions in the MM are also made up of predominately novice teams who are still eligiable to play the KOTH series, even if a team takes first place, it is still only 1st place amongst teams of a novice level.
We decide a teams ranking at the start of the year and this then stands for the remander of the year, so a team ranked as novice at the start of the year is allowed to play KOTH unless they win 3 leg's at which point we give them a free entry into the next MM and they are not allowed back into the KOTH events.
I hope this clears up any confusions but keep the comments coming in as with your help we can keep trying to improve both the MM and KOTH events.
