On Sunday, on the change over of the division we (Dagenham Swarm) had a bag taken of pots which had paint in them , hand held chrono's and spare playing kit taken from the marquee . Has any one from div 1 or 2 pick it up by mistake if so can you let myself or TonyF from these forums know.
Jose Dominguez is also offering to act as a go between, to save any embarrassment.

Also would like to thanks UKM Romford for lending us some pots and also to Gillie for giving us some paint.

Thanks.

yup, pm me if you've got the stuff and I'll get it back to the swarm with no questions asked at all. Someone has picked the stuff up and more than likely you'll be clearing your car out or getting ready for practice this weekend and think ....... oh crap..... we've got them. But obviously, by then it's a bit embarassing. Just pm me, I'll get them picked up and they'll just appear next PA...... no explanations required. (The kit is unuseable as it's swarm specific.... so this has been an honest mistake).

Trouble is most players are carrying kit bags - so the PA's security can't really come in to it - unless you want them to search everyone and make them prove ownership - which, of course, is just me being silly.

Hopefully, this is just an embarassing mistake.

In light of what happen to us

A simple solution might be to use the same tags as the wristbands on peoples kitbags. You get a tag for your wrist and one for your bag. All security needs to do then is to check the numbers on bag/wrist to make sure they match!

It would take forever........... nah, this has been a mistake, one of the div 1/2 teams leaving as 3/4 arrived has just picked up a bag..... that's all.

It does seem a little silly that the security gaurd will let you out carrying anyones kit, as long as you have a wrist band.

Hope you guys get your stuff back.

It's relying on a little honour amongst ballers and discourages casual thieves and passersby............ it's working too. I don't think there's been a marker theft from WITHIN the secure area has there?
Not a lot they can do about a baller who thieves, short of searching every single bag.

appart from making a example of any one caught
ie a major slapping(unnoficial of course) followed by a good dose of being banned from every tourny/playing feild(where possable) for life:( :( :(
