been something ive wondered for a while ,i have used numerous guns over my time of paintball and i have never noticed any performence decrease from kick etc..
doesn't particually bother me, but i am a decent sized bloke, smoother operation results in a more stable firing platfom. as in you can be more accurate when not compensating for kick.
no performance decrease, but when firing at 15bps you dont want something that kicks like a ****ing cannon. else you'll shooting the clouds by the 15th ball. most high end guns have relativly low kick so its not a major issue - just some have less than others and yes its most likely a personal thing
I fitted a L7 bolt to my ion (aaaah my first marker, bless!) and couldn't even tell the difference in kick tbh - I know there is one but I couldn't feel it.
iv just brought an invert mini (as i team gun) and i have an SL66 as my special toy and i couldnt belive the difference in kick! reading this thread got me going so just for the fun of it i put some piant through them just to see and my mini has no kick at all could hardly feel and then to my shick my SL66 was giving more kick than my mini but only a little! i was shocked!
