I hate the government as much as the next man.
But the waste has got to go somewhere.
Im in favour of building and running as many power plants as we can. Nuclear, Coal whatever gives a decent chunk of energy.
It has to be better than buying gass of Russia.
In a decade if the heating and lights go out, you would be less concerned about a bit of irradiated building rubble.

I know at one point they were trying to pay cornwall county council money, to dump it in mineshafts and cap them 
Sure the goverment sit around thinking how can we piss the public off anymore than they all ready have!
