Equipment and prices are gonna kinda vary depending on what you play, if your starting our playing sup air/tournaments, then you might be best off buying something like a Impulse (second hand) cos' theyre fairly cheap right now, and have a decent R.O.F.

If your only looking to play rec-ball down at your local site, you might be happy with a spyder, because a lot of sites don't like people coming down shooting high level guns (understandable) because its not fair on the other players if they're using site guns :)

The first thing you should look at getting is a Mask. This is most important as it will protect your eyesight. If you want a brand new one, then expect to pay around £30 - £70 but there are lots of (decent - Cheers Chunk!) second hand masks around. Ask around and people will let you know if they have any.

After that its up to you on what you want to get. It will depend on how often you are going to play, and what you want to get out of it.

When choosing your gear its best too try everything out before you commit too buying something, this applies too masks, markers, anything really. Go down too your local walk on and ask if you can have a few shots on some markers, most people will be more than happy too let you have a go and give you some advice. Id say the same applies too masks, try and try a variaty on and then just choose the one that you feel most comfatable in.
Take a look at www.planeteclipse.com www.powerball.co.uk and www.smartpartseurope.com
They do some preety good deals on starter packages, or if your looking for a better gun, keep yuor eye out for impulses or shockers in the classifieds section of this website, they both go for arround £200-£250
Hope this helps

Get down to the next tournie in your area and speak to some of the players, ask if you can have a look and feel of their marker. Check out web sites, get down to your local supplier and try on masks etc. It's all about personal choice, it is very easy for people to say to you to get an eblade or speed or whatever and you should use flex7 goggs etc but at the end of the day what is good for you may not be what is good for someone else. Getting into this sport involves a lot of learning, trying and the inevitable error, just stick with it, take it slowly, join a team if poss, and most of all listen to peoples views with an open mind and learn.
