You could use it but the distance it would fire is about 2 foot.

I think you could be right!

Shooting a gun with no barrel does this for you

1/ Greatlt reduced accuracy
2/ Range reduced by about 95%
3/ Wastes Paint
4/ Wastes Air

However it does produce a very interesting noise, bit like a damp fart if you do it with a tippmann on CO2 (Not that i've done it )

I'd claim it doesnt harm the majority of markers... Doesn't really have a point in doing it though!! Perhaps a 2-4" barrel would if you could cope with the loud bang...
