JT Vortex Fan

A vortex fan has come into my possession. I was under the impression that they are supposed to suck and blow, but the switch on mine only works one-way (is this a common problem with a remedy, or is the switch knackered?).

Also, one of blades of the fan has come off- are replacements available from anywhere, or is it negligible.

I'm quite suprised by the apalling build quality of this piece of kit- its only been used once from new and is now broken- I'm glad I didn't pay anything for it. If anybody wants to make me an offer for it (straying into classified territory now) then please do.

Dicky, I have had a vortex for over a month and used it about 3 times. I have had no problems whatsoever with it. It sucks and blows and the blades are all intact. I have no idea what happened to yours though.

Sounds like you nicked it, to me! :eek:

but if possible take it back and get a replacement.
(i dont mean walk back to the shop you nicked it from, place it descretely on a shelf then nick a differant one:rolleyes: )

i mean jeeves has had his as long as he has, im surprised he hasnt worn out the Suck AND Blow option :D

No .... i mean he has really steamy glasses :D

I 'acquired' the fan off a fellow student dosser who is much more hard up than me (strange but true).

I don't think i could use it in a game anyway as its too noisey for me. ;)

If anyone wants it for spares/repair (not many spares I know) let me know, or i'll be forced to pawn it for cider.
