JT Press Release said:
XSV and Pro Player Junior Brown to Guide Legendary Brand as JT Reemerges in Paintball!

A longtime paintball player, competitive athlete and respected member of the paintball industry, Junior Brown of Sacramento XSV will advise the JT Paintball brand. In his advisory role, Junior will help to shape the direction of JT and return it to the forefront of competitive tournament paintball.

“I’m excited to be an integral part of JT Paintball’s future,” said XSV’s Junior Brown. “But I’m also humbled, as some of paintball’s best teams and biggest names enjoyed their greatest success wearing and using JT Paintball products. To follow in their footsteps and help guide the JT Paintball brand through its resurgence will be an honor.”

“With Junior’s experience and insight, JT Paintball will be able to expand product lines and widen its reach throughout the world of paintball,” said Jason A. Taitano, VP of Marketing. “The XSV team and Junior are active ambassadors for the sport and have been a tremendous link between our retail partners, the new player and the established paintball market.”

I first heard of Junior Brown in 2002 when I was holding trials up and down the country for the British team to compete in the inaugural XBall event in Pittsburgh.
At that time he was playing for the Tigers and had acquired a bit of name for himself in terms of playing ability.
I'm not so keen on reps, I like to see for myself what he was capable of and during the trials we held at Nottingham, Junior turned up to try and get selected.
He lived about 3 miles away from the site and so he was one of the first on site and ready to go.
I can't remember how many people we had for that trial but I think it was about 50 players all after the one spot that at that time hadn't been filled.
I think it fair to say, 'competition was tight' for that single spot to be filled out of a possible 50 guys.
We eventually played about 9 or 10 games and had whittled down the list to about 3 guys and all subsequent games were just played so's me and Ledzy could pick the one from the three ....
Junior was selected and to be honest, he was a mile in front of the other two but we needed the opportunity to see what these other two guys could do under pressure but what we ended up with was a showcase pair of games where Junior displayed all the talents and skills I wanted for the squad to represent the UK.

To give you guys an idea of just what he was capable of; in our first year as Nexus on the pro NPPL circuit as it was then in 2003, we had to play in Vegas and in our preliminary games, we faced up against the mighty Russian Legion ... and remember here, 7 out of the 10 players in our squad were amateur and novice players but in that first game against the Russkies, Junior Brown blasted his way thru the middle of the field collecting armbands off the Legion guys as he rampaged through their line ... it was feckin amazing and that win was down to him and Nicky T .... we couldn't believe what we had just done and it sent a shockwave through the pro ranks that hosted the world's top teams, the Brits were back in town.

It sounds a bit cheesy I know but we were all soooo proud to be there and to be recognised as a real pro team to be feared.
Junior Brown is a class act because he has paintball running through his veins; he is an awesome guy always willing to help people no matter who they are .. I think both Ledzy and myself would definitely describe Junior as one of the best and in 2003, he feckin proved it .... I got nothing but admiration for his game and for his character.
And he has a frikkin great mum and dad too, they helped him soo much in his career and I'm pretty sure that without their support, he wouldn't have made it to where he is now .... I can only wish him the very best, and I do so .. because he is one of the very best ... Respect!

PS For all his attributes and qualities, you wouldn't want him going out with your sister or daughter .. trust me on this one please :)

I ain't got a dossier but I do possess a memory that gets progressively less able to recollect things the older I get ...
But I know the top players and just for you, the world's greatest ever player is unquestionably and unsurprisingly Ollie Lang, I was retiring from the game when he was coming into paintball and I only played against him a handful of times.
He has the ability that few possess and that's he can imagine a 3d model of the field in his head with all the opposition in their on-field positions ... that's how he can do those fantastic run-throughs slicing off everyone's armbands on the way ... the guy is a paintball miracle ..

As for the UK's best player?
Hmmm ...... It's between Tommy Pemberton and Jason Wheeler; both of them are natural ballers in that they have this certain something about them, it's a style .. a way of playing that is immediately recognisable as a natural baller.

As I said in the other post about when I was selecting players for the England squad .. I looked at Tommy play for less than 30 seconds and picked him ... he absolutely stunk of class ... it oozed outa him.
I'm not gonna pick one of them over the other because I think both deserve the accolade of the UK's best player of the modern game.

The biggest cheat in the world has to be Marcus Nielsen and he was proud to tell you as much ....
The best captain of the modern game has to be Ledzy ....

Mind you, if you were to ask Rodney Squires [All Americans and Dynasty player] as to who's the best of whatever; he would always ask, 'what have you won'? ..... that cuts through all the bullshiit and gets to the nub of the matter ....

He makes the point I suppose and I ain't arguing with him for obvious reasons :)
