Hello all,

I have just recently purchased the "JT Proteus 2."

Why did I choose this? I went with the known brand.
But in saying so, I have a few questions at hand.

1) Do the Goggles come with different sizes?
(the PlanetEclipse site didnt specify so I felt safe? I wear glasses/specs hated contacts and always will)

2) Any tips with making your Goggle fog free?
(I heard that you can rub a thin coat of vaseline inside of it)

3) Is this the model that is currently going under "recall's"?

Thanks in advance. :D

p.s.- As a starter, Should I purchase a 'bundled package' or should I just buy them piece by piece?

The goggles are all one size and Planet returned all the recalled stock months ago so there is no danger of you getting faulty goggles.

The lens shouldn't steam up but if you wear glasses, as I do, you may find that they steam up. Wipe them with anti-fog spray or better still, invest in a X-wind fan and you'll never steam up again.

Avoid wiping the thermal inner lens on any JT goggles as it is a softer material than the main lens and will quickly become scratched

Thanks guys...

I have been thinking about this...rather silly...the kind of things you usually think while lying down on your bed watching the ceiling.... (get your mind outt'a da gutter) :D

What if you get a tube cut to a length that is just long enough to reach the outside of your mask. Then breath through it.
(Asmatics (SP?) need not apply)
But then again, you can't really 'trash talk' to the oppostion can ya lol

Since most of the fogging gets worse by you breathing hot air into your mask...

Food for thought...

??????

Dont put any spray or any vaseline on your lenses of your goggle - if they are thermals that is.

If you wear glasses then put the spray on the glasses.

One factor that people never think about is sweat. Sweat will run down your forehead and provide the humidity to fog your lens too. So wear a hat or sweat band always - anything to trap the sweat b4 it gets to the goggles

Hope this helps
