JT excellerator 6 gas leak

bro bought this gun and is having typical low end marker probs.

turn the gas on, gun wont hold pressure and gas just comes out the barrel uncontrolled. i think its the cup seal at fault, but have had the thing to bits and cant see a prob .. (i am no expert though so.. )

anyone else had this prob on their JT6 and can maybe gimme some hints to solving this mystery cheers

Sorry if this sounds mickey mouse- but is he cocking it before gassing up? Many blowbacks leak like this if not cocked beforehand as the valve is held open by the hammer pushing on it. If not, sounds like cup seal.

uncocked it leaks through the handle and everywhere.. with it cocked it just pisses out the barrel..

i know the type of thing you mean.. this is un regulated and is a gas leak like you get when you just open the gas bottle up

Yo zoidy talk to Mr Daniel who brought his jt 6 a while back. He had it leakign verywhere when he brough tit and i think he sorted it now. Is it running on co2? have u got the anti syphon right. Have u pre cocked the gat before turning her on. Have u played with the internal at all??

mine had this problem aswell, theres a big brass screw underneath the grip frame that holds the valve. Just undo that n replace the o-rings on it and it should work fine Or.........aswell as can be expected for an Excellerator

Yep. Or valve body Orings (if there are any). Best bet.

also got an email back from JT.. ghost stalker was right.. just had to replace the o rings on that and the hammer..

she holds gas now, but when i pull the trigger it does that silly farting noise and needs to be manually recocked every time ?!?!

Just sounds like its burping like blowbacks do when theyre low on gas Is the reg ok on it?
