Jerseys, any real difference between them?

Hi,

Just looking at buying a jersey soon to replace the old long sleeve + t-shirt.
Is there any real difference between various Jerseys except the looks?

Any of them have better elbow padding than others etc?

I mostly play rec/woodsball for now so will most likely go for a dark/camo type design.

if you are after a jersey with good elbow padding i can whole heartly recomend the Dye C8 jerseys. The amount of elbow padding is plain silly, i love it! Plus they are available in woodsball friendly olive colour :)

if you are on abit more of a budget have a look at the proto ones (also available in olive)

invert and empire contact jerseys come in woodland camo colours if you are after that sort of effect

How is the padding on the Invert/Empire jerseys?

I`ve actually heard a few complaints that the padding is too much.
Will take a look though.

You want to be careful with the amount of padding.

I think there are still rules regarding layers, so if your jersey has lots of padding on the arms, you won't be able to wear elbow pads.

The problem with this, is that no jersey offers as much protection as elbow pads do, so your losing out.

Eclipse jerseys (at least the 07 ones) have thin padding, but it's there.
It isn't enough to get you pulled when wearing elbow pads though.

You are also looking at the quality of the material and stitching etc.

DYE, Eclipse and WDP kit has always been very good.

i belive the right jersey makes all the diffrence tbh. Tanked are good if not pricey maybe not the best for the recballer, but to be honest you cant go wrong with planet or dye tops...or anything pink and furry.

I'd recommend Dye jerseys for woodsball, they're bulletproof (I have a C5 jersey that has been beaten to death and it still looks good) and have great elbow padding. Planet jerseys are great too, and the 08 jerseys have good soft (bouncy!:D) padding all round, though I find they bobble quite badly around the pack area and don't look so hot after a few tourneys.

definately go with dye for durability. my old c7 jersey is still going strong, if buying c7,c6 etc watch the sizings as i wear xl in all other brands but my c7 is xxl and is still a snug fit.

yeah the arms are very short on C7's ..

But like everyone's saying i'd go for a Dye / Proto or maybe an empire for the woods .. but if you can then get down to a shop and try them on :)
