scenario; mock missions such as search and rescue- mostly airsoft players but has a paintballing following too. a lot of the markers used replicate the look of actual firearms.

recball; short for recreational ball. teams/players who attend sites for fun days out; most of which will be renting equipment (these players are called 'punters'). mostly this type of paintball is played as a hobby and not a sport.

autococker; (or just cocker) is a paintball marker... these can be mechanical or electro

walkon days; will usually take place at rental sites and allow players with own equipment to play at a reduced cost. attendants will be a mix of regular players and punters.

Thanks John :)

that makes a lot more sence now

BTW your e-blade looks awsome!

i read in the may issue of PBUK (editorial) about the duality of the " SPORT" and rec side of paintball

by sport im guessing that the serious tornament part (the 'professional' eliment) rather than the fun side of pball

one final question (before i seem like a total mumpty) what is RAMPING UP?

i read that markers can now fire 15BPS but full auto isnt allowed? sorry for souding dumb but how can anyone fire 15PBS without an auto feature? :(

Its not my cocker mate, just a pic I pulled from google.

Ramping is an assisted firing mode, which will add shots to the few trigger pulls youve made. It can be uncapped and limited by the hoppers feed rate; although the 15bps cap you see a lot of is what events operate at and what people adhere to.

Markers have for the last few years been able to exceed the 15bps mark youve queried. Some people claim to be able to regulary exceed this, most are BS'ing - some are not. This meant that essentially we were all shooting at different speeds, then poeple started noticing some were doing it ridicuosly fast and it became obvious that they were cheating by using cheater software modes. The capped ramping mode removes this element as we are all shooting at 15bps and anyone who isnt is easily identified.

Plus IMO there nothing wrong or numpty about asking questions; unless, of course, you are asking questions about animal sex.
