Its too short!

Bone

Emulsified!
Just got a Straight shot nelson spring kit to put in a black magic autococker and the valve springs (all four of em) seem to be substantially shorter than the stock one. I know the idea is to lighten the valve spring but im not even sure these things actually manage to close the valve!

It even seems to rattle when the valve is back in place....

I have seen this spring kit suggested for use with other valves (namely the 3:16 Rat valve)..... does it have a larger valve body or summat?

cant bring myself to put the gun back together with a rattling spring coz it's just gonna hiss at me.

Are these the right valve springs?

He doesn't have the adjusting hole for the rex drilled in the back block and depending on which beaver tail he has fitted that needs a slot cut in it. No point in fitting a rex if you can't adjust it ;)

You got a very old spring kit. Between 98 and now the valve chamber has been getting deeper and deeper. The springs you have are for a pre-98 body, and Nelson style pump guns.
Take them back, and make them give you the correct set.
