Is this a bad idea?

Had a thought the other day (rare for me I know) let me know what you think.

We all know how little time we have between games at tournaments and how much there is to do to get ready etc. So.......How about contacting the local Junior football team, Scouts etc etc and asking if they would like to help out at a tournament in return for a donation to their club. I know my local club would be up for it, they are always doing car washes, packing bags at Safeway etc to raise money for new strips/equipment etc.

Teams could contribute say £10 per team and have someone asigned to them for the day who could:

1) Fill pots
2) Collect empty pots after the games
3) Watch over kit
4) Help tidy up

This would also get more people along to tournies and increase the local profile .

Anyway, just a thought.............................

Good idea, but would you really want someone you have never seen before loking after your kit, when they could just do a runner

I don't know about filling pots, but cleaning up rubbish would be helpful.

would probably be more use to site/tourney organisers to get in a load of nippers to help with setup of the actual fields/site before the comps and the tidy up of site after said comp!!!

i wondered about something similar (but on more of a marshals perspective) among those jobs i was thinking about a group of about 5 move between fields and inbetween games while marshals sort teams they could give barricades a quick clean, clear fields of pots rubbish almost like a dogs body type of job they could also help to take fields down which adds so much time to the end of an event it would be wicked with a few more hands to speed things up especially after a long hot tiring day

Hmm kids, more cannon fodder. As a marshall i reserve th eright to shoot at anything under 5 foot that enters my feild. !

The feild could hire people to do that.

I wouldnt do that but i would take my marker with me if it was during a game, if it wasnt I would keep some of the pots or other gear i found

Personally I think every team should go out there way to recruit...............chicks!

Yeah yeah I realise I only ever make posts bout chicks n bunkerin people, but wot if teams had 5 fcukin stunnin blondes (or brunettes am easy like). These chicks would do the pottin up etc, get a bit of a comp goin to see who can get the hottest girls.............................................. could also win a prize for sh*gin sum other teams girls
