Do I just have bad luck, or does it seem like every one in the paintball industry is out to screw you? I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff from tons of online stores and it's ALWAYS a hassle. Exasperated, I started buying my stuff locally, and it's no better, and in some cases, worse. Perhaps it's just my luck, and the shops in my area, but it doesn't seem like most paintball businesses are even remotely concerned with customer satisfaction and support.

And make no mistake, I love the sport, and a few dicks in the industry isn't going to stop me from playing and buying new equipment, but screwing people, and then being completely belligerent when they don't bend over and take it, is probably the easiest way I can think of to drive people away from the sport.

Alright, I'm finished now. I feel much better.

Where abouts are you from?
If your in the UK then I'd suggest LPS seeing as you have angelboy under your name. There top blokes and I've never had a problem with them, infact I would go as far as to say they have exceeded my expectations on most occasions.

I'm across the pond here in the US. Paintball's a little bigger over here, so I s'pose that leaves room for more crooks.

Well, if you are looking for good customer service in the Chicago area, don't go to Bad Boyz Toyz!

When you can get help you'll wish you didn't. Once I was asking for a particular angel feed neck and I didn't even see any of the angel feed necks they had. Rennick happened to be there, and I asked him if they had the type I was looking for and he just looked at me. When I asked again he said "Well is it in the case?" When I said I didn't see any necks period in the case he just said 'if it's not in there I don't have it'. Didn't even tell me where to look. I finally did see them and saw he didn't have them, but it still was sucky service. So I've been in there 2 times since then, and it's always the same story. They won't help you until you hunt them down and ask them and then they just say 'do you see it?' I've heard of others going in to buy a gun and the answer when they ask to see it is "Are you buying it or are you wasting my time?" Gives Warped Sportz more business I guess....

its the same over here in germany...a friend waited 6 weeks for his angel(which was, according to the supplier, already in stock) then they said a thousand tiimes: it will be coming soon, its already on the way, oh we wrote a wrong address on the package and it was send back to us(i still laugh bout that one) but it will be at yours soon, when she finally got it, it had a small hole in the body(!!!!!!!) which led to loose of pressure!!!! she took it back to them and they needed anothe 3 weeks to get another body...i ordered a matrix, they said: yes we got em in stock. a week later they call me and tell me it was already sold. i said i need a gun for an upcoming tourney quick and they sold me an eclipse imp for quite a good price with an added air system which should come with a 0,8 litre bottle. it came with a 1,5 litre bottle (much larger of course and i wasnt used to play such a large bottle) cause they found they did not have the smaller ones in stock...i could go on and on but i think it says all right now...

Odd...

I havn't had a bad experience yet, and that includes E-Bay.

Course, I tend to stay with more established places, and I don't expect cheap *AND* fast - so if you're going for the cheapest price, and your getting crappy service/delivery times - you're only getting what you're paying for.

Not to say I don't often go for the cheapest price, but then I'm also expecting it to take a few weeks for the order to come together.

I know how you feel. It seems like many of the people involved in the paintball industry just don't understand how to run a business. Whether they're just looking to make a quick buck, trying to turn a hobby into a living or just plain stupid, there are some bad businesses out there. People who either don't get customer service or just don't care. Maybe some of this comes from the type of people who are attracted to the sport in the first place (aggressive, type A personalities)

With all the bad businesses out there, it makes it that much nicer when you have good experience with a paintball business. If you're not sure where to find a good store/shop/field, ask on the forums or at your local field. Let's face it - paintballers aren't known for being shy about their opinions (especially on here :D)

I'm not saying all paintball businesses are poorly run. There's a lot of top notch people who really care about what they do - Mondo at Animal Paintball is a good example. It just feels like there's two (insert name of the last store that screwed you over) for every Mondo out there too :D:p :p
