are back players kinda ummm...... made fun of more (for lack of better words) cuz they do just that?

im a back man for my team and always have been. i shoot more paint then anyone else on my team (i know im supposed to) and if it wasnt for me and all those other back playaz out there keepin the other team pinned down from every angle so they have no chance of comin out an inch. then those front men and tape runners couldnt get nowhere.
so am i the onyl one that see's this?

just curious?

from what ive seen back players gain the most respect from players on the field especially front ones. They are just harassed off the field in good fun. I'm a front player and without my backs I'd get shot to pieces.

Don't worry mate your not a prophet or anything, this has been noticed for many many years!

It's a bit like football (if ur from the UK), it's the defence and midfield that do all the work, all the front player needs to do is put the ball in the net.

Paintball is similar, the front players get all the credit, but only cause it's a front players job to actually get in there and shoot them. Where-as back players have a more focused role to play, ie keeping heads in shooting lanes etc.

Front players are the porn stars cause us mofo's are right up tha field takin so much heat. No matter how much you bang on about back players taking paint, it aint got nothin on if ur in their 25 and they have 3-4 guns on you!

But yeah the back players are kinda the unsung hero's but we all kno we can't do jack without them!

Basically its true that fronts need backs and in common cases backs need fronts. Its a bond eventually that allows prediction and co-ordination.

Backies are the tower and all those jets up front need to know where to go and when etc.

Everyone does ther job but in totally different mind sets and it rules :D

AMEN!!!!!! Im a back/mid player and i get all sorts of crap from my team. Here's a lil advice tho to get them off ur back a lil. Im also the captain of my team, and to teach a lesson, on a rec game i didnt not shoot one shot. No cover for any of my players as i was supposed to. After the game they gave me a load of crap, but after a lil bit of explaining and a lot of paint coming my way, they realized how important i was

back players

over the 16 years i have been playing the game i have gone from being a front player to mid and now back, and playing at the back is the hardest job as you have to keep you marker fireing all the time,keep on talking to the whole team as well as the front guys and stay in the game. And if you get a front player to play back for a tourney they will always say 'i never knew how hard it was to play at the back' enough said!!!
