........... the live coverage of major events actually getting worse?

I am finding it increasingly difficult to get live updates of major paintball events through the internet. It really seems to me to be a shame that the level of coverage we get depends on texts and calls to and from friends who are actually at the event.

Well come on guys - in this day and age with webcams and live web technology, can event organisers and magazine/ industry website owners not do better than this?

Well.......is it just me??

Agreed, it's frigging useless. To be honest i wouldn't expect much from the PSP but i'd have thought the Milleniumn would have pulled their fingers out.

For gods sake, we are intrested in your events, what would it take to rig up a laptop with an internet connection (through a mobile or whatever) and edit some HTML score board document. Doesn't have to be anything too exciting looking (unless you can) it just needs to be complete, up to date and readable.

Maybe the new p8ntballer forums will have some live scoreboard system but to be honest this sort of thing i think should be the event's promoters job.

Why can`t they connect the "X-ball scoreboard" to an internet site ?
The scoreboards is only a program running on a computer ?
So lets say they make : www.xballscores.com, the only thing we will see then is the team name and the score, just like the program you can download from www.xball.com
I would be fun to watch your team step by step, taking og losing points.

This should not be too hard, it`s just like a "doublescreen" one part is the computer in the tower with the scoreboard, and the other part is just a "copy" of that screen, out on the internet.

Yeah, it'd be like Championship Manager....but not ****.

The point is that achieving some live score system would not really be that hard. The monetary investment would be minimal, and it really wouldn't be a huge exercise in personel logisitcs. I really don't think the people running the events give a **** about loyal fans who are religiously intrested in the sport.

Hmm.....am i just totaly thick or is that XBall score table really fricking hard to read. Might be an idea to re-format it so it makes more sense.

Also if that is only PSP then it is useless for those of us who wanna know EXL and NPPL scores.
