Don't listen too much to these characters. Don't start thinking about the expensive guns like Angels yet. Just enjoy what you have now, and if you decide you want to up the level at which you play/compete, you can always invest in the expensive stuff then. After all, you don't learn how to drive in an Indycar.
Anyway, as mentioned earlier, after each day of play just take out the basic moving parts (the manual should tell you how to do this), clean them off, relube the rubber o-rings and stick it back together.
