I think it depends on the context. For a site gun, I'd choose a Tippmann on the basis of the ruggedness. For a personal marker, though, I'd feel happier with an Inferno. If you consider the barrel threads of a 98, they're so coarse because they have to fit in the two halves screwed together, which isn't the best way to go about tolerances. IMHO, an inferno is higher quality (the machining on the ones I've seen is top). I dont have any experience with them as rentals, but it seems that more and more sites are going for them.
