Back to the topic:
IR3's are great markers. The only 'problem' is that it seems as though quality control at WDP has gone down a bit, probably due to increased demands. However, WDP is a company with great customer service, so should you end up with a faulty gun (unlikely, but possible) they will get it fixed ASAP.

My old team Dyehard had quite a few problems with theirs ranging from batteries that wouldn't hold a charge to bad board's. WDP did take care of any problems though.

Alot of the problems with the IR3's were just glitches in the first generation, I haven't heard of anybody who's bought one in the last few months that's had problems, and WDP has great service. If you want even better service than WDP, warped sportz makes some of the sexiest angels available, and they're tech support blows every other company out of the water.

Yeah, the early IR3s did seem to be a bit of a problem. I wonder if WDP are suffering from the eternal battle between engineers (aka good) and sales/marketing (aka evil) :)

The COPS can occasionally have problems with its sensitivity setting, but really that's no different than standard 'eye' type sensors having problems with certain ball colors.

The only issue I personally consider is still an outstanding 'fault' is the gated feed. If your hopper is a tight fit and you have a tendancy (as I've noted most people seem to do) of 'screwing' your hopper into the feed tube, then you'll soon find that you'll no longer be able to unscrew the detachable part of the vertical.

The problem IMHO is that the threads are too fine and I believe that they should have swapped which part had the internal threads and which part the external. Fine internal threads are generally prone to damage and I believe it'd be better to have the detachable part as the one that suffers this.

Other than that, you're talking about an awesome marker that doesn't need anything done to it to trick it up. Ever. OK, I have a preference for the Cobra stick trigger, but that's just me wanting to tart it up and being unable to find anything else worth changing. ;)
