What's up ya'll.

I had this idea back in another angel thread, why doesn't some one make a board for the IR3 and LCD with a higher ROF restriction, like the new Speed and A4? Or maybe even re-program the current boards, via data link or something. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do if you knew what you were doing, and you could theoretically make the ROF restriction whatever you want. It'd be cool to have a virtually unrestricted board, like the 66.6 bps board on the bushwhacker.

And before anybody gets all mouthy and puts on their superiority complex, I know very well that there's no way in the world that you can hit rates much higher than the mid to upper teens, but with a higher ROF restriction, all it means is that the board will recognize more pulls per Nth of a second (make N any fraction of a second), and that makes higher ROF's more easily attainable. So it might actually be useful.

Well, something that would be more logical, would be to make the board so it checks the micro/opto switch 1,000,000 like the WAS board. LCD's don't *usually* have any sort of anti chop system, so keeping the cap would be nice to ensure you don't chop. Now, the problem with this would be the insane ammounts of bounce you would get. Therefore some sort of adjustable debounce setting would need to be setup. I suppose the board could be reprogrammed, but I doubt it could be done through a data link. The LCD would also have to be reprogrammed in order to adjust debounce. All in all, I don't think it would be worth it, because at a local tournament today both of my angels and the couple other angels that were there were just as fast as the timmies and e-cockers there.

uggghhhh, I really don't like how I can't edit my posts :-(

With that last sentence there, I was basically just trying to say that angels are already just as good as timmies and other high end guns, so I don't think it would be necessary to do what you're saying, although I imagine it would be possible

What happens when you press 'edit'??

There was a bit of talk about Wicked Air Sportz bringing out an Equalizer board for the Angel. If it'll happen or not remains to be seen though.

Well I know it wouldn't really be necessary, but it would be easier to get higher ROF if the board was more unrestricted. Right now I can only hit about 16 bps, so it would be totally impractical for me anyway, but the idea is cool.

Absolutley, the higher MROF the easier it is to achieve a high rof.:)
