thought that might get some attention.
in short ive read the article in PGI, looked at the pics, and stil dont get the hype??

I mean your spending so much money for what.... the main upgrades include the anti chop eye, the anti roll back, and a pretty body??

well the impulse vision has the eye, as do an increasing number of other markers.

The anti roll back, is available with the new ricochet loader, yet you get more than one shot. and anyone splashing out on an ir3 clearly is gonna go for a good loader.

and the body work..... anything cut and carved that much should look good. but does it change the performance at all??? maybe a bit lighter. but still not a winner with me.

at the end of the day, there are cheaper guns which rely far less on electronics to make them work well.

What ever happened to the good reliability/accuracy of an Autococker, or the light fingered trigger of an impy? Damn you wanna go flashy, go for an e-mag, at least if the electronics go wrong you have the backup on standard pnumatic mode.

if you take the time to really read the article im sure you'll agree that it seems like Jack Wood didnt seem to be placing it on a pedistal. Set me right if you will Jack.

Im jsut sick of people looking at the pictures, hearing the hype, and saying "oh i want it". what are you really getting for your money?? other than just being able to claim youve got WDPs latest.
WDP make great guns, dont get me wrong. but dont just take the hype as a reason to buy it. some people will tell me im wrong, but i had to say it.

I agree with you umm... (insert another word for mate here),

I really dont like the look of the IR3. There comes a point where all the shininess and carviness just cant save a marker from looking absolutely sh!te. There will be ballers dissagreeing with us two, but this is just my opinion. I would much rather play with my 2000 cocker with blade frame over that PDA anyday.

Just my opinion guys!

I like the IR3

I dont really have much experience besides shooting one but it seems nice.

The chop eye, gated feed, the frame, and 3 trigger points are all cool.

Lots of people don't like the look of the frame, but it feels great.

In paintball we all try to play tight. Our arms are straight down and tucked in, not sticking out like when firing a normal gun, that frame feels cool. It is more comfortable to tuck your arm in with. Just my opinion.

Too expensive for my tastes though.

good god!!!
The ir3 just rocks but i take your point. But then...(don't know which country you live in) didn't everyone have those ****ty scooter things here that weren't really worth the money and were all hyped up? also digimon and all stuff like them those furry animals that talked to you and many other things? is it destined to go to the sh*t hole that they inhabit? doubt it. it's all nice a shiny :)

No because it has a use. There are like 4 million DEDICATED paintball players in the U.S. alone.

Those other things made money for a little while because they were new, not useful.
I don't think there are 4 million dedicated digimon likers.(at least I hope not:rolleyes: )

There are a few reasons to get an IR3, and as for appearances, just like cars and women that we ogle at there are going to be some that want more or less, thicker or thinner, longer or shorter hair, taller or shorter, etc. Only thing is that it seems that WDP just took what was viewed as the sexiest gun on the planet (MAJOR reason the thing sells so well) and changed it. Change from perfection, well, isn't going to be good usually.

Well i saw one in the flesh today for the first time and i think its great. the photos don't do it any justice at all. When the apoc guys get theirs hopefully i'll have a play with one but until then.....
seriously i like the trigger idea with the 3 pivot point bits(well tweaky) and i like the straight grip frame aswell. looks odd at first but makes sense when you pick it up. just a little too much for me at the moment but i'm thinking about it:D
what can i say, i dig angels!

TB, I think Ignite maybe good enough to beat Apoc by the time Jimmy and Benny have their IR3`s ( so by that rate they will never get them LOL :p )
