Punisher looks good.....

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the Punisher Ion has nice body kit, q-lock, smart parts on/off, nice fancy trigger, freak barrel with one insert, but internally is a stock Ion?

It seems this one is all about tricking the marker out mainly for looks and flashness, and it does look the DB's (it bloody does!), but wouldn't the money be better spent on a stock ion, then adding practical add-ons like the q-lock, on-off and freak, and then fitting lucky stages 1 thru 3 and a QEV, to make the marker rock when being used?

Nothing worse than seeing a completely tricked out car, but then finding out it still has the stock 1.1 Corsa engine and suspension underneath... which I think the Punisher kindof is.... (Am I right?)

Just my 2 penneth worths lads... :)

ions rock

heya buddy! i played in a woodsball tourney yesterday with total choas with my stock ion coz my virtue still hasnt arrived. to be honest the stock uk board just set on ramping was enough to keep up with the angels and dm6's out there i was pleasantly surprised. best bet is to upgrade the things you personally want to! yeah the body kits look great and you can pimp your ion to the max but you should leave the pimp factor til last and get a new barrel kit (i have a freak with an aa front soooo accurate!) take the magnet out of the stock trigger as that makes it a lot nicer and get a new feedneck. once you have those grab a blackheart or a virtue board then go crazy on the body kits there are some really nice ones out there (trinitypaintball.com have some amazing looking ones!):D

Ions rock....

Just placing a lucky stage 2 and a QEV in my Ion made it feel like a different machine, plus I get an extra pot or two per air fill. Makes it feel smoother and more responsive. My next purchases are Lucky Stages 1 and 3.

To get back on thread, most decent places such as LiPS will up a stock marker for you on purchase, and then you can get what you want fitted, and perhaps not waste money on cosmetic items if you on a budget.

If you not after a pimp marker I would advise to anyone this course of action rather than spending money on a pre-built one.

ions rock!

hell yeah! i agree with you there! its all well and good having a marker that looks pretty but prettyness doesnt save you from gettin mugged or from getting people off the break! lol or failing an ion get a proto matrix rail (its a pm7 with a polymer frame n stuff just less metal) i just bought one for my wife for xmas as she is killing to get into paintball and she tried one yesterday at the dragons lair woodsball tourney and she loved it! i want one but i have almost finished upping my ion so it would be a complete waste, plus i love my ion its my second wife! :D
