never never land
Is it just me or is it good to see a company give something back to paintball for once ? Go Ballistic have hired a massive area for the Ionman events and run them hand in hand with the site they have choosen. They have given the chance for novice players to try tournaments and bridge the gap into rec ball playing with out taking peoples eyes out for it. Their events are costing £40 a head inc 500 balls discounted to £35 if a UKPSF member. If you buy your next 1500 balls in advance it costs you £15 more ! So £55 or £50 entrance including a box of paint.

So not only have they given us an affordable day they have topped it off with the profits going back into the day ! A raffle prize of a top of the range marker ! £1000 Prize money and novice players winning 5 Ions.

I think it is re freshing to see a company try and give something back to the ballers ! Smartparts must be thinking highly of these events if they are putting their name on them and backing it as well.

I for one have not played woodland for a while but I will be entering this event as it is the only event I have ever seen on a forum that is encouraging new players and also giving existing players something back.

Guys we need to support this kind of event and build up our stock of players ! My friend tried his first tournament on air ball and got wiped of the face of the earth every game. He quit balling as simply felt embarassed to be on the field. But after seeing this event he is considering giving it another chance. He won't feel like a piece of meat at a cattle market (punter day),or like a kid as experienced players will be there as well. So as I said earlier this kind of event needs our support and backing !

Well done Ionman !! and who ever has choosen to back these events.
