Apparently Ionman is prospectively going to be hosted in the UK southern regions as well as the North providing the number of teams up for taking part in the South makes it a feasible venture.

Hope the moderators dont mind me posting a link to another paintball forum,Register your interest and show your support here (look for womble's post):

Instead of going on PGI and saying there is going to be a Southern Ionman it would be nice if someone asked about using my series name. Seeing I know nothing about this event and since it has been announced on PGI that there is a Southern event my email account and my phone have been very busy.

I have nothing to do with the Southern Ionman event and I am not happy it is being branded as a SOUTHERN IONMAN ! There is a Northern Ionman there is not a Southern one and so far you have caused me a lot of hassle already with my backers !

Hi shadlad i believe this guy has just got a little carried away sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused.
I have chatted to you few times about this subject in the past and i have asked in the south to run a series like ironman down in the south i have used ironman as an example as it is a well run series that i believe would be great down here.
I used as example as your the only guy i know doing halve sup halve woods but too date i have no luck other than a mini 1 day ionman if its ok to call it that if not ime happy to call it something else as it is not yet confirmed to date.
shadlad if you want call me any time mate i will pm you my number many thanks

Oh boy..Hey guys i do beg your pardon, the power of the internet eh?
I'm a bit horrified.

I obviously very erronously repeated something i had seen on another forum that was either untrue or misconstrued by myself.I'm very sorry if theres been crossed wires,i have no vested interest in being malevolent or sensationalist.

Obviously this has just caused you quite a bit of hassle.Alot of work goes into organising and maintaining the types of events you facilitate, please accept my sincere apologies for any embarassment caused to you both, totally unexpected and a bit embarrassing.

Don't worry Chris,
Full marks for trying and not your fault.
I think you should be applauded for trying and not taken down frankly when you were given duff information!

Shadlad-why not do a southern Ionman?

Thanks Chuck.No harm done mate,

Well as the original theme of thread was to DISCUSS this subject in a SPECULATIVE manner rather than make statements or announcements then it might be appropriate to ask...What is so incredulous about getting ionman (or a tourney with a similar format in its absence)going in the south?

Political and branding issues aside(which both have they're place in this context unquestionably),it surely all testament to Ionman's success as a concept and frankly a form of flattery that people are asking about the probability of a tourney becoming established in the south.
