I have an Ion which i'm trying to repair so i can sell it.

The board seemed to be dead, so i got another one (second hand) but that doesn't work either, it's not the battery (I used a number of new ones).

Should the board work outside the gun? (as in connect the battery to it & voila it works) or does it need to be fitted correctly inside?

I have done both but the bloody thing still won't work:(

Or will i end up having to bite the bullet & get a brand new board:mad: & loose more money:mad::mad:

Board should work outside the body (I'm pretty sure). You say the battery isn't dead, have you tried different types/brands of battery incase that's the problem? (Its possible)

Check to see if you havent accidently pinched the wires or damaged them.

The board should work outside the gun. The board doesn't have to be attached to the gun to work. Are you sure you are pressing the right button as there are two buttons. The higher button is the one to turn it on.

The Electronics should still work outside the body so you can rule out the solenoid as a problem. Check the battery harness for kinks in the wires and bad soldering. also make sure that none of the tracks on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are broken or bent. Also make sure that the connectors on the harness are touching the battery and are not damaged or bent out of shape. Make sure all the wires and tracks are well connected and soldered.
