Hi all

I have fitted a QEV on to my ION (some people would say this was my first mistake) but i don’t seem to be able to improve my setting much from when i bought it....

I have been told so many different things about how to set my marker up with a QEV that it all gets a bit confusing  any help would be appreciated.

At present i have got my dwell set on 30 my ROF on 5 and the psi on my marker is set to about 190.

I don’t know if everyone with an ION has the same problem but as soon as i start firing and get say past 6 or 7 balls per second the psi drops down to about 140, this then makes my marker fire short...

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Phil
:D

Do ions have a recharge rate?
If you mean delay to allow for recharge then yes, that's what the ROF setting is but most peeps set it on min without a problem.

Dwell sounds very high for an ion with qev, should be somewhere between 8 and 18, do you need the dwell that high for it to shoot?

You've probably already done this but fit a new decent battery, Duracel or Energiser.

Ya i have tried a new battery because that’s normally the problem with an ION and the do seem to eat the batteries.
i tried the dwell at 10 when i first put the QEV in and i had nothing but problems with it and slowly put the dwell up i found at between 25 to 30 it runs well, but everyone i speak to says the dwell should be around 10 to 15 so i don’t know if i am doing something wrong lol.

i also put my pressure up from 140 to 190

With the air off how does the gauge look, i've seen it a few times on mini gauges where the disk with the numbers spins and you end up setting it to the wrong pressure.

Do you know anyone else with a working ion so you can put your reg on their gat to test the pressure?

hi mate there is only 2 settings (apart from fire mode ie semi or ramp) the 1 is the dwell and the other is the ROF (rate of fire) so im a bit confused you eather put it to its max or its min  .
some i spoke to at lincoln last month said they had put there ROF up to its max as well.
