Ion velocity fluctuations?

Hey all, my mates getting +/-20fps, anyway of tightening that figure?
Paint matched to barrel, so it's not that.
Any idea's?
virtue board and qev, otherwise stock, fresh battery

if it is new he will need to break the reg in it will get better with time

break the reg in and make sure its clean, then i should settle after its worn in.

try increasing the dwell by a couple of clicks, that did the trick for me, also you have put in a new battery right?

Its me being the newb :S
Dwell is 13 at the mo.
Had about 4-5 boxes of paint through is and keep it lubed properly.
Also cleaned and lubed the reg as well.
The velocity at the moment is all over the shop.
I am trying to chrono it in at 280 so if it does go mad like it has been it doesnt go overthe 300 mark.
Getting velocitys as low as 256 and as high as 302 with it set to roughly 280 fps.
Not sure what psi is going through it as the quality guage on the side has died already
Yes I have a brand new duracell procell battery in it.

its the stock ion reg mate its pretty crap to be honest. If you get a new reg such as a CP, planet STAR reg, Dye Hyper 2 etc. then you should be sorted

Ordered a evil detonator reg so hopefully that will solve it
