Ever heard of Lucky Paintball? no nor me untill today. I had handed to me an Ion with the stage 1 bolt in it which appears to be of alluminium construction which weighs next to nothing a stage 2 kit which I couldn't check out (don't take my marker apart was the answer) and finally with lazer eyes. The Stage 2 upgrade for the marker features a forward tail bumper internally that prevents leak through during dump cycle. Also cross drilled for improved recharge. although only being allowed to put a hopper of paint through it the changes were very pronounced. Kick !! what kick nothing in my opinion, this marker ran beautifully smooth mmmmmm.
The weight of the marker has been reduced which is exactly what was required as the female user didn't want a heavy marker, air usage seemed minimal and when I can get it for a test will comment better on what it uses but it was considerably better than standard as I was not the only guy to try it out so taking a rough guide we reckon on about 7/8 pods on a 45 at 4500psi not bad eh. Eyes well we didn't break any balls so will report on that later, they also make a barrel kit which is also incredibly light. As the girl is buying that to add to the marker will let all you Ion users know how that performs, it apparently comes in a miriad of colours and 4 bore sizes with I think 3 different lengths. The prices of these upgrades and the differences they make far outway the cost, which is also a big plus because they are low prices. Wonderful for all you young paintballers and new marker owners.

yes i have heard of lucky paintball and had quite a few dealings with them, and the weight of the bolt whilst yes is enough to reduce kick, it is in no way enough for you to feel the difference when simply holding the marker,

and with no offence ment, your efficiency isnt that good at all 8 pods is only 1120 shots, which isnt that good really, with a qev and the lucky stage 2 and 3 (i have the stage one but it is currently broken and needs fixing i am getting around 1600

why buy a kit ? i've got a cp barrel set bores 6.89 , 6.93 , 6.96 .

never used the 6.96 its that big everythink fulls through it.

the 6.93 and the 6.89 are the ones i us and to be honest i would just get

a 6.93 cause almost all paints will got down it with no problem.(never get a break)the lucky barrel is one back with different fronts. the bore is the full barrel not in two steps(6.89 back to 7.0 front) i think the cost was £18 for the back and £15 for the front.but check the prices on luckyeurope.co.uk

if you put an ion on a table and tap the trigger it will move, if you put an aftermarket bolt in it will move less. If you grip you gun hard enough you wont notice it, if you hold it lightly and shoot it will jiggle in your hands
