Ion Upgrades?

I have finaly recevied my ion from just paintball (don't do things in a hurry there do they) and I was woundering what upgrades any one can suggest for it. not looking to buy any yet but just fancy knowing the things to look for first

1. trigger

3..................
4...................
5. e.c.t.

Remember all this is in my own opinion.

1 - on/off (mine: CP)
2 - Barrel (Mine: Freak)
3 - feedneck (Mine: Q Lock)
4 - QEV (Mine: None)
5 - Trigger (Mine: CP)

I know that may seem a little backwards putting a QEV before the trigger when I don't have one, but I do recomment it as an upgrade before the trigger. I just went a bit mental and wanted something new and shiny with the trigger

assuming you have already got an air system and a good hopper then then your money is best spent on a good barrel.....after that theres not much to do to an ion i dont think.

the trigger and the coloured body is all down to personal choice really

Trigger, Clamping feedneck, then learn how to balance the dwell and recharge settings - gives great efficiency with none of the bad points of QEV's.

All the London Tigers Am squad have done the above (some haven't even bothered changing the trigger ) and our guns play at Div 1 in the Millennium series with zero problems

and I have a eggy hopper (well ordered one)

and a 5000psi pure energy air system

I added an aka sidewinder to mine, gives good consistancy but it's not an essential upgrade

yeah i dont understand all about these dwell settings. i am new to paintball and haven't had my ion for long, so if anybody could explain to me that would be great.

after i got ma egg and air i got:

cp trigger
cp micro drop
cp on/off purge
sp q lock

and new body but that was cause i didn't really want a red ion

next am hoping to get a new barrel but don't kknow what to get... it either boomstick, ultra light or a shaft...

Couldn't tell you - we tune each gun using a PACT and a red chrono rather than actually counting flashes. Kind of an old-school hand-crafted tune up

Make sure you have a Z board for your eggy m8, Ion will outshoot it otherwise!!
