hi everyone

i was told that you can buy ion bosy shells that allow you to access the bolt easier...the back twists off or something to get at the bolt instead of having to take the entire marker apart....can anyone tell me about any ion shells etc that allow easier access to the bolt and where and how much please..

the reason im asking is i spend 30mins readin through a manual and getting in to the bolt while training today in the field to find all my bolt needed was a clean...as i actually thought the O ring had gone but a wipe and spray of cleaner stuff had it fine.

The only true BOB (Bolt Out Back) body made for the Ion is called Stage 5 and was manufactured by Lucky Paintball. It was a limited edition body (99 made, 90 something sold because of missing or damaged back caps) and I have the last one they sold Priced around $200 retail currently these babies are going for $250-300.

Lucky PB will release a new BOB body in the not so far future - Stage 5.1. Actually it's 5 bodies - each with a different milling & price tag. Priced from $99 to $199, some of these will be a limited edition, all will have the BOB ability, access to ball detents and eyes without having to unscrew the frame, no-rise feedneck, stage 1 aluminium bolt and Stage 2&3 functionality.

Don't know the UK prices but these should be available through Lucky Europe.

once you take the ion apart a couple of time, its childs play. it a pain in the ass to get to the bolt, but till the 5.1 comes out, we will just have to suffer, i can get to the bolt in about 5 mins ( 2 mins of that getting the pain in the ass screw from inside the trigger frame).

unfortunately i dont think i have anywhere near that amount of money atm so i will have to withstand taking my baby to bits everytime lol
