Alrite peeps

got a problem when firing my ion
when i shoot the marker i can get off about 7-8 shoots then the bolt seems to stick. it keeps shooting air but the bolt doesnt cycle
ive cleaned the reg, lubed up the bolt and all the o rings, eyes are clean, new battery in it as well
i use reballs alot with this marker would that make a difference?

any help wud be great

p.s. the problem seemed to start wen i installed the QEV

I have a feeling your dwell is to low? Try knocking that up a touch and see if the problem is cured

Hi pete, you'll find this problem when you use reballs with an Ion. The problem is that you can't increase the force of the bolt without upping the velocity (a big issue when using reballs), and so the bolt doesn't cycle fully, especially when using dirty sticky reballs. The QEV, contrary to your experience, should actually help by reducing the force in front of the bolt. The best solution available is to reduce the volume of the firing can (either with the epiphany upgrade kit or by a bodge job) so you can increase the pressure. Other than that, try washing your reballs and keeping your bolt and firing can as clean as possible, and try not to overlube your bolt.

think ill try increasing the dwell abit, i lowered it wen i got the QEV , and wash the reballs.
