Wouldnt bother with QEV there just hassel

I personally think that u get more kick with them,

Strap a halo to your sp8 and your bustin

with the stock bolt and no QEV you can get a dwell of 48 and a recharge of 0 to get 17 bps,

As for the sp QEV, a QEV does the same no matter what make, so it should function the same as others, but with the advantage of being able to turn 360

on a seperate not though: the most worthwhile upgrades for ion/sp8 IMO are these in this order

1 Feedneck
2 Barrell
3 Trigger
4 rail and ASA
5 Lucky stage 1 2 and 3 (no kick and lower dwell)
6 QEV
7 Board
8 Reg (this depends if you got a decent one or not)
9 Costmetics,

and if ur own about if a blade trigger would be better than the stock, i shoot an ion and think the blade trigger makes a big diff.

Also i wouldnt bother with the reg, have a few guys who shoot ions (see sig...lol) and they rate it alot
yeah i have a cp sling blade trigger on mine, such an improvement from the stock one really is unbelieve able, well worth it, also planet stock them

I completely disagree with the lucky stage 1,2 and 3 - fine gear, but so far from essential up grade it's not true.

Trigger's are personal - for me (and I've had them all) I would suggest the VP Scythe trigger si the best bet, but it's a very personal thing.

I wouldn't want to downgrade from the stock reg as Mikey says :)

My thoughts...

1) Rail & Purging On/Off - £25 2nd hand. Will make the biggest difference to shooting with correct posture.

2) Feedneck - qlok = £27 on paintball warehouse if memory serves. Not from the point of view of convenience, but lowering profile - the stock one is too high

3) Halo or reloader B - The rate you feed the hopper will make FAR more difference to your ROF than anything else. The weight thing isn't what you think - a full egg weighs the same as a full halo, and the reliability issues with Reloaders etc have by and large been sorted. You may also want to bear in mind the saying, "You can't make a tourney without breaking some eggs..."

4) Trigger - it's a very personal thing, but most people hate the stock one. Several good ones around.

Controversy still rages about QEVs - up to you. New barrel when you can be arsed - the stock one is not a thing of beauty but will serve fine for a while - if you can't hit them, get closer ;) Then get to work on the cosmetic bling factor :)

i would agree with you the upgrade isnt essential, but it is worth while imo, but only after more essentials such as feed neck asa and trigger.

Also yes a halo or empire again is a good upgrade, one myself i bought after trying a reloader b out (i used to use a egg).

edit also could you pm me a price that you paid for the engraving you got done and what it was for

i should really have told you its an sp8 so the feedneck is not changeable and we use remote lines so dont really need to change the asa,(unless i fancy an on off) so its more performance upgrades im looking for.
