Can anyone tell me if an ion thread is the same as a shocker .thanks

Depends on the Shocker. The newer Shocker NXT's use Ion Threads. The older Shocker SFT's use their own Shocker Threads.

If your not sure on the difference, this is a SFT:

As Narkadox said. Smartparts thread or impulse thread as its also known fits ion impulse nxt shocker luxe eos epiphany enmy extcy sp1 basically all sp/dlx guns exept the sft shocker which is sft threaded.( think i have an sft freak kit somewhere if that is what you need as they are rare as chicken lips these days.
