ion reg

one of my friends has a ion, however there is a problem with what im assuming is the reg.
he cant get it to go above 220 fps, all the internals work fine?

what is wrong?

what does the gauge say?

you could always try a reg off an ion which is working fine and see what it fires at then you will know for sure.

first try n replace the battery, low batteries always make ions go real funny. if that aint the case, strip, clean n lube the reg. this was a problem with my ego. i couldnt get it past 250fps and it was very very inconsistant and all it needed was cleaning n lubing the reg.

Do you know what your friends dwell is set at??
Should be around 52 i believe, if its to low you may experiance problems like you are describing but its rare for a board to reset its values.

as far as i know the dwell is what its at stock, so about 50,
i tired putting my reg onto his ion, which at the time worked fine, but after putting my reg on, his ion would not even cycle, the solidnoid dosent even click anoymore??

any idears?

Did you try the battery? If the solenoid doesn't open you have a battery problem my man.

try strippin n cleanin the noid....but be very careful when doing so

whats the bolt doing mate? is it stuck back? if so then the noid might be knackered, just had this myself, try your board in his gat, see if it cycles.
