Can't unscrew the ION's stock reg, it's off to the extent where gas leaks out the top if gassed through, but will only turn a 1/4 of a rotation and is making a grinding sound... Also it seems to be grating metal as filings seem to be coming out when it is twisted... Any ideas?
Cheers,

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR stupid as hell... bought it 2nd hand so assumed problems like that would be worked out... obviously not!! So I need all the warranty info etc. to send it back right?
I guess the guy I got it from never needed to undo the reg then?

Sorted it :)

BUUUUUT... when putting CO2 into an Ion it should shoot pretty normally right? Seems to fire 1 shot normally then looks like is cycling with no/little gas being fired... the input psi is hardly changing (150-170 approx)

Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help you, not too good when it comes to Ion's, I'm slightly better with Shockers.

The only thing I can suggest is trying:

if your ion is shooting down. its either:
1. needs a new battery (a good one not some ****ty one as whats the point saving hundreds and buying cheap batteries)
2. dwell needs upping (take the battery out when its live, put it back in and the settings should be stock. increase dwell if it still drops off)
3. the bottle or on/off arent in/on all the way and the constant air supply is not....constant :)

give the bolt a clean a bit of lube and it'll be running sweet. ignore the smart parts haters. its always the manufacturers fault when the user fooks up aint it???

C02 is not the most consistant of stuff to use really. Should get an air system really. Much cleaner. As Mike said, give it a service. Clean and re-lube the bolt, clean and lube the reg (could be the cause) also check all the o-rings. They can be a bugger really. Also check for leaks in general.
Not much else I can think of really.

And as Mike said, ignore the SP haters... They're only jealous ;)
